Grandma Stoops visited us for 10 days.  We went to Zuma Beach and had fun playing at the park and blowing bubbles! I also went to my first concert with Michelle and Kendyl to see Charlotte Diamond who sings my favorite song "Slippery Fish"! My hair is long enough now so that mommy can put my hair in 2 ponytails.  I ask her every morning for either one or two ponytails so my hair isn't in my eyes.  I am becoming such a big girl!!!

Kauai Trip in February

We decided to take a trip to Hawaii and stayed at the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation Resort in Poipu on Kauai.  This will be our last family vacation until baby girl #2 due May 25!  Although the weather wasn't as warm as we had anticipated, it was a fantastic vacation without much rain.  We spent a lot of time playing on the beach, watched Daddy surf and hiked on the north side of the island.  Sienna had a blast playing in the water especially at "Baby Beach" which consisted of calm ocean water about a foot and a half deep.  We really wished we had stayed a couple of day longer but plan on going back in the future:)

January 2009

This was a busy and exciting month for Sienna, being 21 months old and talking up a storm.  It was very exciting for Sienna to witness history with Barack Obama becoming our new president.  She had a fun playdate with Kendyl feeding the crazy ducks at the park.  We also went to Arizona to stay with the Rypma's and to meet Grandma Stoops and Ron since they were visiting for the golf tournament.  Sienna had a blast playing with Dane and watching Sloane since she loves real and play babies!

Christmas in California

We celebrated our Christmas in CA the day before we left for Minnesota which was a week before Christmas.  It was a blast watching Sienna open her gifts while wearing her santa hat.  She is such a little cutie:)

Getting Ready for Santa

Sienna had a really fun December waiting for Santa's arrival.  She made her first gingerbread house with mama at Treat Sweets by our house and went on a train ride with Oliver at the Paraiso Holiday Celebration.  Sienna also played in the snow with Logan at Amgen's annual holiday party.  She had fun watching everyone throw snowballs and playing in the snow saying how cold it was.  We all decorated the Christmas tree...Sienna placed the ornaments she could touch on the bottom third of the tree.  She did not have a fun time seeing Santa and cried with and without mama holding her.  But she liked waving to him from a distance and talking about him coming to visit with toys.  Maybe next year she will realize how nice and fun Santa is to all the boys and girls!

Thanksgiving

Nanna visited us for the week of Thanksgiving.  We made the traditional turkey dinner and invited our friends Tami, Richard and Luca over to join us.  We did some Christmas shopping, picked out and decorated our Christmas tree and took pictures on the beach for our Christmas card photo.  We really enjoyed our visit with Nanna and can't wait to see her again at Christmas!
